FAQ – Faravid´s Land

The Experience

What does immersiveness mean?

In an immersive artwork, you immerse yourself in the performance and move independently as a member of the audience. Many have described the experience as stepping inside a movie. The work is multisensory, occasionally gently interactive, and highlights the role of the venue. The piece has no linear plot you need to follow. Instead, you dive into the world of the work and observe the characters, shaping your own experience through your choices.

How do you experience the performance?

The venue has no traditional theater auditorium with fixed seating. You follow the performance by walking from room to room, space to space, and floor to floor, with the action taking place all around you. Everyone gathers in the same space at the beginning and end of the work, but audience members spread out across the venue for the rest of the show. With many scenes happening simultaneously, seeing everything in a single visit remains impossible.

Do I need to participate in the performance?

No, you do not need to participate, and refusing any offered interaction is completely fine. You only need to walk and move from space to space and floor to floor. Participation is entirely optional.

Can you get lost in the venue?

Feeling temporarily lost can happen, but you can find staff members on both floors to help direct you.

Can I enter a room where no performer is present?

Absolutely. You may explore any room without a closed door or a “No Entry” sign.

Is seating available during the performance?

There are chairs placed here and there throughout the venue for you to sit down.

Should I prepare for specific content elements?

The performance can feature intense moments, and performers may come close to audience members. The show also incorporates scents, theatrical smoke, and somewhat loud sounds. Measures ensure you can safely immerse yourself in Faravid´s Land.

How is a safe environment ensured for all audience members?

Safer space principles guide the performance, and no one needs to participate against their will. You may step into another room at any time.

Performance Space

Is the venue accessible?

The venue contains stairs, thresholds, and slanted walkways. While accessible entry does not extend to every room, visitors can enjoy the performance without accessing all areas.
