Venues for large and small events.
Whether you are organising a trade fair, a meeting, a conference, a dinner party, or a large or small event, our theatre is sure to have the right solution for your needs. In addition to the accessible venues of a high quality, the theatre is at an excellent location by the sea, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Market Square.
Main stage
As the name suggests, the largest and most spectacular venue at the Oulu Theatre offers a wide range of opportunities for event organisers. The auditorium seats 530, but the space can be modified to accommodate up to 800 people. High-quality sound and lighting systems are available.
The main stage hall can be used as an auditorium, or the spacious stage area can be filled with exhibition stands, for example. The main stage has hosted conferences, trade fairs, an EU ministerial meeting and a gala to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the City of Oulu.

Small stage
The ascending auditorium of the small stage seats 133, and there two wheelchair seats. The stage is equipped with modern meeting technology, and the small stage is suitable for small and medium-sized events.

Pikisali
The club-like space at the Oulu Theatre can be adapted for a wide range of events. The auditorium is equipped with low bar tables and standing tables that can be moved at will. The entire auditorium is a serving area. Drinks and snacks are available from the bar of the renovated Theatre Restaurant Aulis, and the bar is open throughout the performance. Pikisali opens 45 minutes before the start of each performance.
The atmospheric and versatile Pikisali is easily adaptable for meetings, for example. The Oulu City Council has had its meetings at Pikisali for several years.

Vinttikamari
Home of youth theatre Nuorten näyttämö and the Stage of Diversity, Vinttikamari can take many different forms as the situation demands.
Also used as the theatre’s rehearsal space, Vinttikamari is ideal for small events.

Maria Silfvan private room
The elegant Maria Silfvan private room provides a beautiful setting for small events.
Located right next to the main stage, the private room allows you to combine the day’s programme with a play. Catering from Restaurant Aulis will complete a successful event.

Fiini box
Surprise a birthday girl or boy, or your friends! Fiini is best with friends, colleagues or family. The main stage’s Fiini box will make your visit to the theatre extra special. Refreshments for the party using the box (max. five people) will be served in the private and atmospheric upstairs foyer.
The box costs €300 (incl. VAT) for spoken plays and €400 (incl. VAT) for musicals and opera productions. The price includes tickets to the performance, programme booklets, cloakroom fees, welcome toasts and theatre chocolate for five people, as well as use of the box foyer one hour before the performance and during the interval. Any refreshments must be separately ordered from the theatre restaurant. Catering is not included in the price of the box.
Foyers and lobbies
The theatre’s foyer and lobby spaces are an excellent trade fair venue, for example.
The combined floor area of the lower lobby, the main stage foyer and the small stage foyer is around 1,000 m², and the venues can accommodate up to 1,200 people at a time.
The venues are ideal for exhibition stands. The spaces are easy to navigate, and the necessary technology, electrical connections and lighting are readily available. In addition, the theatre has a professional staff of cloakroom attendants, ushers and house managers.
Theatre Restaurant Aulis
In Theatre Restaurant Aulis, the theatre’s unique atmosphere is combined with unforgettable taste experiences and the most spectacular views in Oulu.
Aulis can be used for a wide variety of customer events and family parties. We will create the event or party according to your wishes.

The theatre’s stages and lobbies are adaptable and suitable for a wide variety of events. You will also have access to the latest theatre technology including lights, sound projection and other goodies, as well as the professional cloakroom attendants, ushers and house managers.
