A fully improvised performance

In this show, every moment and situation hits the performers – quite literally – IN YOUR FACE! 

Actors from Oulu Theatre are thrown into the most unexpected scenarios as they create songs, scenes, stories, and ultimately an entire play – live on stage – based on audience suggestions. 

The audience gets a front-row seat to witness how the actors ignite with inspiration from surprising prompts, bringing to life a wide range of characters out of thin air. And it’s not just the actors improvising, the musician, lighting designer, and sound technician are all part of the spontaneous magic. 

During the first half, the audience has a unique opportunity to shape everything that happens on stage. The performers improvise scenes inspired by viewers’ ideas, seamlessly shifting between genres and emotional tones. Musical numbers swing from major to minor, and it’s a short leap from jazz to heavy rock. 

After intermission, a full-length play is born on stage, crafted entirely from audience input. Its plot, style, and characters evolve scene by scene into a cohesive, one-of-a-kind story. 

Everything unfolds before your eyes – for the first and only time. And since the cast changes with every performance, one thing is certain: every show is a premiere! 

Performance language is Finnish and there is no subtitles in English.
