Strike threat postpones the premieres of Oulu Theatre’s productions White Hunger and Destination – الوصول إلى

Theatre and media workers Teme ry and the Actors’ Union have announced industrial action in theatres for Friday 4 April, Saturday 5 April and Saturday 11 April.

Due to the strike threat, the Oulu Theatre will postpone its premieres planned for Friday 4 April and Saturday 5 April.

The premiere of the production of White Hunger on Friday 4 April will be rescheduled for Tuesday 8 April at 19:00.

The premiere of the production of Destination – الوصول إلى on Saturday 5 April will be rescheduled for Wednesday 23 April at 19:00. Also, the preview of the production Destination – الوصول إلى on Friday 4 April will be cancelled.

In this uncertain situation, we want this solution to secure the completion of the premieres and the opening night. It is regrettable that the strikes are hampering our performances, but I am confident that a labour market solution will be found in the coming weeks. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to our audiences,” says Anu-Maarit Moilanen, CEO.

Oulu Theatre will also be affected by the strike threat on Friday 11.4. Oulu Theatre will inform you later about any changes in the performance calendar for that day due to the strike threat.

The changes caused by the strike are regrettable, and Oulu Theatre regrets any inconvenience they may cause to its audience.

Already purchased tickets for premieres are valid for the new dates. Tickets for a completely cancelled preview performance can be exchanged free of charge for another performance of the same production.

Oulu Theatre’s ticket sales department is in contact with all customers who have purchased or reserved a ticket, provided that the customer’s contact details have been registered in the ticket sales system at the time of purchase.
